The client came to Natilik during the merger of two of their existing entities, who at that current time were still operating as individual businesses. To ensure the merger was successful the client identified a need to ensure that they harness the right technology to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of both their internal and external operations. However, their current Data Centre storage solution was costly to upgrade and provided very little insight.
Working alongside Pure Storage, AppDynamics and Turbonomics Natilik deployed an integrated next generation data centre solution that has provided the client with the flexibility to cost effectively scale their operations.

Challenge

The clients current Data Centre storage operations were expensive to maintain and required regular upgrades, so it was imperative that their new solution posed a simplified storage model. With both businesses operating separate data centres and disparate systems, they needed one common platform to support the new business, whilst also reducing costs and improving operations.

Solution

Natilik, together with Cisco, designed and deployed a full end to end next generation data centre, utilising Cisco Capital and the Pure Storage Evergreen model. The Natilik team proposed a fully resilient Flashstack to support growth of application usage and performance, whilst providing cost effective and scalable DC infrastructure. AppDynamics and Turbonomic were introduced to oversee the monitoring of all critical applications and private cloud infrastructure.

Outcome

The client now has a simplified, robust and scalable platform they can rely upon to support their merger and the future growth of their business. Improved Data Centre infrastructure enables the use of big data and modern data analytics to gain key business insights and improve operations. The implementation of AppDynamics provides the client with improved targeting, qualification and resolution of any application issues on their key trading applications. In turn, this reduces down time, and their infrastructure team are able to re-stand up applications in minutes not days.
