The client had a relatively small Microsoft Azure Public Cloud footprint. The client was looking to expand this moving forward and ensure that they have a solid foundation on which to build on as usage expands.

Challenge

The client was in need of industry leading experts to come in and confidently guide them in best practices and a strategic direction that would ensure that their cloud migration strategy is aligned to business objects.

A key challenge was to ensure appropriate guardrails were in place to allow for a scalable, flexible and secure cloud architecture.

As a fast moving business the client needed connection to a network that provides reliable connectivity to their user base. In addition to this, the client wished to explore how infrastructure as code could be used to deliver fast, consistent deployments with the option of providing self-service capabilities to other teams in the business.

Solution

The team at Natilik worked closely with the client to understand their Azure footprint in its current state, the projected growth plans of the business and the aspirational state of the environment.

Using this insight Natilik took the client through a complete review and discovery workshop, producing high level design documentation and recommendations.

Alongside this the Natilik team delivered an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) proof of concept that included the build, configuration, testing and demonstration of the solution. This enabled the client to see the business value of implementing an IaC approach into their Azure
environment.

The team supported the client across the engineering handover through design review sessions and dedicated project management.

Outcome

The client is now working with Natilik through the recommendations to achieve a future proof,
flexible Azure environment enabling the business to grow whilst being supported by the right architecture that ensures security, compliance, connectivity and speed.

The client has seen such acceleration of their cloud journey through engagement with Natilik
expertise and education, they are expanding their project scope with Natilik to include a
dedicated internal resource, managed service and further IaC and cloud security solutions.
